WindowTinting

Are you thinking about adding tint to the windows of your vehicle? is a great way to increase your privacy and protect your vehicle’s interior. However, before you opt for window tinting, you should stop to consider which level of tinting you’d like. There are a variety of different levels you can choose from and which one you select will depend on what look you’re trying to achieve and what your other needs are. Before you make a final decision, consider the benefits that different levels of window tint can offer you.
Window tinting films are often measured in percentages of VLT, which stands for visible light transfer. The film’s VLT will tell you the percentage of light that passes through the film. The lower that a VLT number is, the darker the film is going to be Window Tinting. Darker films are usually applied to rear windows, as many states have strict laws about how dark a film can be on the driver’s windows or the front windshield.
50% VLT
This level of VLT is very subtle. It will cut out a decent amount of heat and UV rays, but it’s not very dark. If you are looking to make a big impact visually with the tinting of your vehicle’s windows, then this might not be the right choice for you. You may actually want to opt for a darker tint with a lower VLT percentage.
35% VLT
This is a level of film that you will usually find on cars that have factory tinting, especially on the rear windows. This is a good level of VLT because it allows for improved appearance, but it does not severely limit the driver’s or passenger’s view.
Lower than 25% VLT
Window tinting that is lower than 25% percent is illegal in many states, especially on the driver and passenger windows and the front windshield. However, many vehicle owners do opt for tinting below these levels on back and rear options as it provides a great level of privacy and protection for the vehicles interior.

Most vehicles end up having a combination of VLT percentages. If you’re not sure what level of window tinting is right for your needs, you should ask a professional window tinting company.
